NEWSGROUPS

The internet carries many different forms of communication. These include;

• www - web pages you visit with a browser
• email - for sending and receiving electronic messages
• ftp - file transfer protocol
• ICQ - instant messaging and chat rooms
• newsgroups - on line forums
• and lots of others.

Today we'll cover an introduction to newsgroups.

Like the rest of the internet, it is largely uncontrolled. You can get every type of human behaviour - good, bad and ugly. Please take normal sensible precautions.
